Why Hi-Tech

Universal Structural Certification

Quick Delivery

We are strictly committed to ensure Quick Delivery of our products. We have utmost attempt to deliver the goods within 24 hours after Order confirmation.

01

Better Rib Pattern

Better rib pattern on Hi-Tech's deformed bars ensures better bonding with concrete.

02

Proper Bendability

Hi-Tech's deformed bar can be bent to the exact angle according to BDS standard, which means the products of Hi-Tech have the proper bendability.

03

Spectromax

In this regard, the company has set up world class machineries both for the factory and for the lab in order to control the quality of the products in every phase of production of metal bars. A highly proficient group of engineers, chemists, and technicians are dedicated to their work to control the productivity and quality. The laboratory of Hi-Tech Steel & Re-Rolling Mills Ltd.

Manufacturing

From molten metal to monumental strength

Induction Melting Furnace

Hi-Tech has an Induction Melting Furnace with a capacity of 8 Metric ton. This high capacity unit is manufactured by Megatherm Furnaces Pvt. Ltd., India. Scraps are melted into liquid steel here. The electromagnetic coil heats the charge to roughly 1,600°C, and once fully molten, the melt is sampled and sent for spectrometric analysis so carbon, manganese and silicon levels can be corrected before tapping.

Continuous Casting Machine (CCM)

Our plant is equipped with a modern Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) that transforms molten steel into high-quality billets with exceptional dimensional accuracy and consistency. The automated casting process ensures continuous production, minimizes material loss, reduces energy consumption, and improves overall manufacturing efficiency. By maintaining precise cooling and solidification control, the CCM produces billets with superior surface quality and internal structure, providing the ideal raw material for the rolling mill and ensuring reliable performance in every stage of steel production.

Re-heating Furnace

Natural gas fired re-heating furnace equipped with motor driven mechanical pusher. Steel Bars are heated in rolling temperature (1100 to 1200 degrees Celsius). Standard capacity is 10MT per hour. Billets travel through clearly defined heating zones so the core and surface reach a uniform temperature together, keeping the steel soft and consistent enough to roll without cracking downstream. The furnace also incorporates hot charging technology, allowing hot billets to be charged directly, improving energy efficiency and reducing overall processing time.

Roughing Mill and Intermediate Mill

The roughing mill includes Y-Table, proper guide box, twist pipe and auto feed repeaters. 1000 HP induction motor runs the roughing mill and intermediate mill, adjoined by a dynamically balanced 8 MT fly wheel. The heated billet passes through a series of grooved rolls that progressively reduce its cross-section and stretch it into a long strand, with guide boxes and twist pipes keeping it correctly aligned between every stand.

Finishing Mill and Auto-cooling Bed

10-inch Finishing Mill has a Continuous Bearing Mill of 2 stands driven by 400HP Slipring Induction Motor, capable of producing about 10 MT deformed bars per hour. The auto cooling bed handles hot bars in high speed operation and allows bars to cool in ambient temperature. This is the stage where the bar's final diameter and its deformed rib pattern are set, and controlled cooling afterward governs the steel's final grain structure and strength.

Turning Air Pollution into Global Exports

At Hi-Tech Steel & Re-Rolling Mills, we protect local air quality by operating a state-of-the-art Industrial Baghouse Filtration System. This advanced equipment traps fine carbon dust and particulate emissions directly from our furnaces before they can pollute the surrounding environment. Instead of generating local waste, we capture and process these high-purity carbon byproducts into valuable raw materials.

We then export this collected carbon internationally — driving a sustainable circular economy while keeping Bangladesh’s air clean.
